« The Skype ecosystem | Main | Correction on Skype bandwidth usage »

You're a moron. 16KBps (note the capital "B") indeed means "kiloBYTES per second". The original author's bandwidth assertion is correct. In the worst case, according to Skype's own information, a call could consume just under 1MByte per minute. Before you flame someone, why don't you educate yourself first?

LabRat, thanks for reading my blog and your comment. You are right on the money, I was a moron when I wrote the post. But I also corrected that right away, after DG pointed my mistake out, rather than just editing my post to cover my ignorance. I believe that's part of the deal when you have a blog. Do read DG's comment, it's a good one (it has slightly more depth than yours).
